Bed bugs are pests that hide inside your mattress and box spring during the day as well as in the cracks and crevices of your bedroom floor and walls… While you are asleep at night, they crawl out of their favorite hiding places and feast on your blood.

Some people may develop an allergic reaction to the saliva that bed bugs leave from their bites. Medical treatment can control the allergic outbreak, but the best course of action is to exterminate bed bugs before this can happen.

Getting rid of bed bugs isn’t easy or fun… Buying a bug spray is the cheapest solution if your bed bug infestation isn’t widespread. But, before you use a bug spray you need to make sure bed bugs are the cause of your bites.

When you notice a live flat oval shaped wingless insect about inches long running by, try to capture it. Look for photos or illustrations of bed bugs online and see if what you caught appears the same. Once you positively identified these pests as bed bugs, you can then plan their extinction.

Bed bugs like clutter. So you’ll need to clean-up or re-organize your room to make it neat to reduce places for them to hide. Vacuum your bed, floors and furniture. Buy and use bug spray that says it will kill bed bugs. We reviewed a few products that users say works.

You may think you need a fogger, but the best way is to spot treat by spraying inside and around those cracks and crevices on the walls and floors where bed bugs hide. When spraying your mattress, let it dry out before putting the sheets back on.

Getting rid of bed bugs may take some time and effort… But if a back to normal life without bites and allergic reactions is important to you, then you really don’t have any other choice. Sprays or insecticides are probably the most effective way to kill bed bugs and their eggs and to prevent any future infestations.

Elimate Bed Bugs Now!

Posted by: admin  /  Category: How To Kill Bed Bugs

You’ve just discovered that you and your family are the main courses for an infestation of bed bugs.

Maybe because you woke up in the morning and had small itchy bites. Maybe because you noticed the small blood spots on sheets and mattresses that indicate a bed bug infestation. Or you may have even woken in the middle of the night and seen one of the little pests.

Reported incidences of bed bug infestations are soaring around the world in both developed and undeveloped countries.

Long thought as eradicated the nasty little bugs are becoming a growing nuisance in all types of residences but the most difficult to control in dorms, apartments, condos, hotels and motels.

These are the places where the bug is hardest to exterminate. Small at about 1/4″ they can hide in hard to get to places that aren’t reached by conventional pest control methods.

Worse, if there is a bed bug infestation anywhere in your building they can travel between units on pipes and electrical conduit. So even if you have an exterminator treat your home for them, they can just crawl along to the next residence and come back after your treatment disipates.

So what can you do? The steps are pretty straight forward.

1. Thoroughly clean and de-clutter entire infestation area.

2. Seal and treat all possible entry points to your home

3. Encourage neighbors as much as three floors above and below you to treat along with units next to you.

4. Retreat the areas every week until all signs of infestation are gone.

You can eliminate bed bugs from your home, you just have to be stubborn and follow through, otherwise they will just return to snack on you again.

Tips On Bed Bugs While Traveling

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Tips On Bed Bugs

No one wants bed bugs while traveling find out what you can do to kill bed bugs.

It’s everyone’s worst nightmare: you come back from a lovely 2-week holiday in the sun and find that you’ve brought home more than you bargained for – bed bugs! They can be really difficult to get rid of, so the best thing to do is avoid getting them in the first place. Bed bugs are quite difficult to identify when you are abroad, so you have to be very careful when abroad, and always think twice about leaving any luggage on your beds.

Bed bugs mainly hide in luggage and attach themselves to clothing, so if you can avoid placing your suitcases or loose clothes on any furniture then you should do so. A lot of hotels now provide suitcase stands, or at least some storage space under a table which will house a suitcase, so you should take advantage of this if it is on offer.

If you find traces of bed bugs after spending a few days in your room, maybe through bites or on the bed-sheets, then clean your luggage with hot water as thoroughly as possible. If you can, then find a small vacuum cleaner and go around your entire luggage with it. You should also request a different room as soon as you find any trace of bed bugs being there or having been there in the past, as there is no guarantee that they are no longer present.

If you are unfortunate enough to bring bed bugs home with you, then follow the same instructions above, but also get rid of bed bugscall an exterminator in, because giving your luggage a thorough wash may not be enough to kill them. It probably won’t be enough to just wash your luggage, but you’ll need to give all your home furniture a clean and vacuum all of your carpets. Calling in the exterminator should kill all the bugs and any eggs they may have lain, which will prevent a recurrence of the problem in the future.

It’s very possible that you could get some bed bug bites either on holiday or when you return home, so you need to know exactly how to deal with them. Immediately upon discovering the bite, you should wash it in warm soapy water then apply some ice and antihistamine cream which will stop the itching. If the worst comes to the worst, and the bite gets infected, then go see a doctor and he or she will advise you further.
